NEW- IMPORTANT COVERAGE CHANGES & CLARIFICATIONS REGARDING YOUR RENEWAL!

Effective 10/1/06, due to ongoing requests from the membership, PSI & Business Insurers of the Carolinas are offering some new and improved coverage’s to enhance your General Liability Policy! They are as follows:

1) New Care, Custody, and Control (CCC) Limit of $200,000. This is the highest limit available to Pet Sitters in the US! Be sure to elect the CCC Limit that adequately covers your business!

2) Increasing Lost Key Coverage to $2,500. Automatically raising this limit with no additional cost.

3) New special endorsement for house sitting if it comprises less than 45% of your business. We will now cover house sitting regardless if you are pet sitting for the client! Pet Sitting still must be your primary business and make up 55% or more of your annual receipts. The premium for this endorsement is $100.

4) Limited In-Your-Home Pet Care Endorsement. We will cover up to a maximum of 5 pets in a Pet Sitter’s home if you purchase this endorsement. The intent is to cover your client’s pet in and around your home only, not in boarding kennels. We are not covering doggy day cares under the PSI liability policy. Please be aware there is no coverage for the pet sitter’s own pet which is specifically excluded. The premium for this endorsement is $125.
